报告人Dr Michael Routledge& Dr Yunyun Gong,英国利兹大学

报告人简介

Dr Michael Routledge obtained a BSc (Hons) in cell biology from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1986 and a PhD in chemical carcinogenesis from the University of York in 1991.After two years studying mutation spectra at the NCI Frederick Research & Development Center in Maryland, USA, he returned to York for 3 years to work on detection of DNA damage and then moved to University of Leicester to work on oxidative DNA damage. He moved to Leeds in 2000, where he is now Associate Professor of Environmental Toxicology in the School of Medicine. He teaches undergraduate medical students and holds several leadership roles in student education in the School of Medicine. As well as researching the toxicity of particulates he works on the health impacts of mycotoxins in African populations. He has published over 70 peer reviewed papers and is the Treasurer of the United Kingdom Environmental Mutagenesis Society.

Dr Yunyun Gong graduated from the School of Public Health, Fudan University. She obtained a PhD degree in Food toxicology in 1999 and then started her research fellowship at the University of Leeds where she is currently an associate professor in Food Safety and Security in the School of Food Sciences and Nutrition in Leeds.  She has a strong interest in research on dietary exposure to harmful chemicals (especially mycotoxins) and human health outcomes e.g. child stunting, cancer and reproductive health, and the prevention of mycotoxins exposure in the Africa communities. Her other research interests include understanding the relationship between diet and health, and conducting food safety risk assessment with a global perspective. Dr Gong was a working group member evaluating aflatoxin and human health for the WHO/IARC in 2014, and is currently a working group member for the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) on fusarium mycotoxin risk assessment, and holds an honorary team leader position in the China National Center for Food Safety and Risk Assessment.
